音楽の売り上げが伸びているという話。やはりスポーティファイの伸びはすごいみたい。しかしその一方でレコードやカセットテープの売り上げも伸びてるみたいで面白い。

ゴールデングローブ賞の授賞式で黒い服をみんなで着る理由についての記事。昨年に某有名ハリウッド監督がセクハラで逮捕されたことなどからそれへの団結のためのようです。ただ女優の中にも反対する人はいるそう。

若者の間ではタバコよりもヴェイパーの方が吸われているという記事。ヴェイパーで問題なのはマリファナやドラッグがこれを通して吸えてしまうことと、タバコと違って法整備がなされていないことらしい。なんでも2009年に政府が規制を強化する法案を通そうとしたがタバコ会社のロビー活動によって失敗してしまったとのこと。たしかに大学内でも街中でもこれ、よくみるなぁと思ったり。タバコの煙と違って、見た目はより白っぽく大体の場合甘い匂いだからすぐわかるんだよね。。。

ビルゲイツによる記事。将来世界を変えそうなものが６つ紹介されている。びっくりするほど英語が簡単。高校生でも読めそう。

トランプ氏のツイートに関するもの。非常に皮肉たっぷりに書かれている。最近では金正日氏の「核のボタン」発言に対して、「自分のはより大きい」とツイッター上で反論したのが記憶に新しい。筆者曰く彼がつぶやくほど彼自身を不利な状況に追い込んでいるとのこと。初めは否定的だった筆者も最近ではどんどんつぶやけ、トランプ！（Tweet away!）とまで言っているの面白い。

1/4: ハワイ沖で新種のサメを発見！＋cookiecutter sharkと呼ばれるサメについて
あけましておめでとうございます。
今回からブログの投稿の仕方を変えて、要約は無しで行きたいと思います。
理由としてはやはり記事を読んでかつ要約というのは体力がいることで、毎日記事を読むことのハードルを自分で上げてしまっていたことに気づいたからです。
これからは、【簡単な記事紹介＋記事中の自分の未知単語】 という感じでいきます。
目標は毎日投稿！
最初の記事はこれ。ハワイ島沖で新種のサメが発見されたという記事。しかもこのサメ、光るんです。光る理由としては、月の光に似せて（カモフラージュ）捕食者から逃れるためと、個体間でのコミュニケーションのためだそう。後者に関しては真っ暗な深海で仲間を見分けて一緒に泳いだり狩りをしたり、ということ。
この記事内にでてきたcookiecutter sharkが気になったので他の記事も読んでみました。

日本ではダルマザメと呼ばれるこのサメは、なんでも1970、80年代にアメリカ海軍の潜水艦のケーブルを噛んでソナーを不能にしたとか。海外では男性が海で噛まれた事例もありその傷の写真がとてもグロかった。。。興味のある人はぜひリンクの記事読んでみて下さいー。

When it comes to environmentalism, females tend to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle and according to research, males worry that eco-friendly behaviors might brand them as feminine. The research involving more than 2,000 American and Chinese participants showed that there is a psychological link between eco-friendliness and perceptions of femininity. Due to this stereotype, both men and women judged eco-friendly products, behaviors, and consumers as more feminine. To encourage men to go green, masculine affirmation and masculine branding may be effective. For example, they can design such stuff to affirm men’s masculinity and give them the confidence to overcome their fear of being judged as feminine when engaging in green behaviors. Or, they can also market green products and organizations with more masculine fonts, colors, words, images used in the branding. (131 words)

しばらく空いてしまいました。原因は家族旅行による習慣の乱れでした。毎日自分をアップデートしよう！
さて今日の記事ですが、ハッとする男性は多いんじゃないでしょうか。簡単に日本語でまとめると、女性は一般的に男性よりもエコな活動に従事する（水の節制、リサイクルなど）が、その男性側の理由として、「エコな活動は女性らしいから避ける」という心理があるとのことです。実験では、マイバッグを持って買い物をすることはより女性らしいと被験者がとらえたり、男性は、自然保護団体のロゴや字体がフリフリのフォントで明るい色合いのものよりも男らしいもの（オオカミが吠えているような）であったほうが寄付する見込みが高かった、などが示されました。なかなか面白い文章だと思うんですがどうでしょうか。個人的には大学入試とか英検の問題になりそうな印象を持ちました（笑）
